Tiny Atlas privacy policy
Who we are. Tiny Atlas is made by Mert Gözükara. Contact: gozukara.mert1@gmail.com.
Tiny Atlas is made for young children. It collects nothing: there is no account, no server of ours, and no third-party service in the app.
What the app collects
Nothing. The app sends no personal information to us or to anyone else.
Children’s play stays on the device. What a child taps, draws or plays stays on the device and is not sent anywhere. What a child makes in the worlds (a picture hung on the studio’s wall, a row of snowmen, a song on a nail) is kept on the device so it is there next time; a grown-up can remove all of it in the grown-ups’ area (“Put the worlds back as new”).
Discovery journal: on the device only. The discovery journal in the grown-ups’ area keeps, on the device, what the child has done in the worlds (for example that they finished a snowman) and which worlds they stayed in. This record never leaves the device and is not sent to us or to anyone else; a parent can delete the journal in the grown-ups’ area at any time, and deleting the app deletes it too.
No advertising, no tracking. The app shows no ads, uses no advertising identifier, and contains no third-party analytics or tracking.
No account. There is nothing to sign up for. The app never asks for an email address, a name or a password.
Purchases
Four worlds are free. The other eight open with one in-app purchase (“All worlds”), made in the grown-ups’ area behind a grown-ups’ gate. The purchase is made with Apple and handled entirely by Apple under Apple’s own privacy policy: no payment details, Apple Account details or purchase records reach us. To know whether the purchase was made, the app asks Apple’s StoreKit on the device when it starts and when it comes back to the front; it keeps only a yes/no note of the answer on the device, so the worlds stay open offline. “Restore purchases” asks Apple again. With Family Sharing, Apple makes the purchase available to the family’s devices.
How long we keep it
We hold no data about you or your child. What the app keeps on the device (what the worlds remember, the journal, the purchase note) stays until a grown-up removes it in the grown-ups’ area or deletes the app.
Your rights
As we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to show, correct or delete; questions are welcome at gozukara.mert1@gmail.com, and we answer within 30 days. Purchase records are held by Apple; Apple’s privacy page explains how to see or delete them. In the EU or the UK you may also complain to your data protection authority; in Turkey, to the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).
Children’s privacy
The app collects no personal information from children and uses no persistent identifier of its own. Purchases and any links leaving the app are behind a grown-ups’ gate.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we update the date above and publish the new version at this address before the change takes effect.
